Akure- The Ondo State Government has said that necessary arrangements
have been made to promulgate a law banning the sale of coffins near
hospitals.
The State Commissioner of Health Dr Dayo Adeyanju stated this in Akure
during the inauguration of a program tagged 'Working Together For
Health' which was aimed at coordinating the activities of health
workers to ensure maximum service delivery at the State Hospital and
all the State Health Institutions.
Dr Adeyanju said that the Government was greatly disturbed by the
advertisement of death accessories to those who need encouragement to
survive.
He described as worrisome the activities of shroud and coffin sellers
within the vicinity of the State Specialist Hospitals in Akure and
other health facilities across the State.
